Access to clean and potable drinking water is crucial for basic health and survival of communities. ASDF focuses on assessing the water balance of a village, municipality, city, or country to identify challenges and opportunities on how to improve water production, use and disposal.
ASDF approaches the need for water resources with a holistic view of eliminating sources of excessive and unsustainable water usage and contamination to guarantee access to clean water sources for present and future generations.
ASDF believes that through a proper understanding of water cycles one can identify and effectively improve water resource extraction and supply for potable use, productive sectors, and other uses, while not impacting water need for natural processes. Prevention, mitigation, adaptation, remediation and compensation are key elements to achieve sustainable water management.
